Lady of the Sea Adventures is the culmination of a lifetime of boating experience. Captain Rand Seaton was born into a family of fisherman and has been on boats since birth. Now having a family of his own, Rand and his wife Lauren started this business as a way to share their love of the ocean and Alaska. It was love at first sight when they found the Lady of the Sea in Bellingham and knew she was the perfect boat for Kachemak Bay.
Captain Rand

With over twenty years of experience running large vessels, Rand has moved up from sleeping in a drawer as a baby while his mom drove the family fishing boats. His whole experience on the water has been in Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay, which means he knows these waters better than most. His primary experience has been within the Cook Inlet salmon fishery and has some amazing stories from over the years. He has ventured from the water a time or two trying different careers, but it has always called him back. Now that he is married, settled and enjoying raising his family, he loves the opportunity of small boat cruises and its ability to be home more often. Captain Rand has his USCG 100 ton Masters License.
Captain Mike

Mike is our second captain. He has lived in Alaska for over 15 years, calling the communities of Togiak, Petersburg, Ninilchik and now Homer, home. He has always loved the water and has been a commercial salmon fisherman in Southeast as well as Cook Inlet. He's also spent time on salmon tenders in both Southeast Alaska and Cook Inlet. He has spent the last two summers working within the travel industry in both Seward and Tutka Bay running charters and water taxis. Mike has loved being able to share Alaska with so many. When not on the water, Captain Mike loves to play soccer or ride his bike on the beaches of Kachemak Bay.
Chef Avram
Avram is a lifelong resident of Homer. After working and cooking on commercial fishing boats for a number of years, Avram spent the last two summers guiding and cooking at a wilderness lodge in Kachemak bay. He graduates from Yale University in May of 2023. There, he worked with other students enthusiastic about cooking to host bi-weekly pop-up restaurants featuring a range of fine dining menus. Passionate about sourcing fresh, local produce and seafood, Avram is excited to be back on the water this summer, sharing the beauty and flavor of Kachemak Bay.
